Job summary

The Fountainhead Group, Inc. seeks a hands-on Vice President of Manufacturing Engineering & Facilities to lead engineering, automation, and facilities across its NY operations. This executive role reports to the President and shapes long-term strategy and capital investment.

The successful candidate will guide manufacturing teams, drive efficiency, reliability, and cost reductions, and partner with Quality, Supply Chain, and NPD to deliver measurable results across facilities.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Deep knowledge of automation, controls, and robotics in manufacturing.
• Plastics manufacturing background including blow molding or injection molding is favorable.
• Proven track record of process optimization, cost reduction, and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long-term manufacturing engineering and technology strategy, covering automation, equipment, facilities, and capacity.
• Improve metrics for efficiency, throughput, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Lead initiatives in automation, robotics, and production processes.
• Oversee capital planning and major projects with ROI analysis and prioritization.
• Strengthen asset reliability through preventive maintenance and tooling replacement.
• Evaluate new technologies and vendors for operational or financial benefits.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, NPD and other leaders to solve complex issues.
• Mentor and develop manufacturing engineering teams to meet future needs.
