Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of managerial or supervisory experience at a senior or executive level.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience managing human services programs, grants, and contracts, including regulation interpretation.
• Public administration and government fiscal management, including budgeting, expenditure control, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for 12 divisions of the Department of Human Services (DHS).
• Strengthen program performance and community impact by directing development, implementation, and improvement of services.
• Oversee departmental operations, fiscal management, grant opportunities, cost-analysis, contract oversight, and reporting systems.
• Lead division managers, set expectations, guide workloads, and foster a collaborative leadership culture.
• Represent the County with regional partners, advisory boards, and state/local agencies.
• Develop and steward the departmental budget of approximately $85 million.
• Collaborate with County leadership to set policy direction and staffing priorities.
