Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition Services to lead the department across patient and non-patient meals, cafeteria, and catering. You will ensure high-quality, compliant nutrition services in a safe, sanitary environment while meeting all regulatory standards.

You will oversee production processes, staff development, budgeting, and vendor management to optimize resource use and service quality, driving engagement and departmental performance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED Required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in managing food or hospitality services.
• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations preferred.
• Knowledge of hospital and healthcare financial metrics preferred.
• RD, LD or CDM preferred.
• ANAB approved Food Management Course or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates existing systems and processes and suggests improvements.
• Ensures compliance with all current policies and regulatory standards (TJC, OSHA, EEOC).
• Directs food production with standardized recipes and production sheets; checks taste, temperature and appearance.
• Manages daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department including patient and non-patient meals and catering.
• Prepares department records and reports on diets, nutrition analyses, costs and production metrics.
• Oversees staff development, training, competency assessments and performance reviews.
• Provides coaching and mentoring to increase capability and engagement.
• Manages department budget and GL coding; ensures cost efficiency and procurement compliance.
