Qualifications

• Hands-on executive leadership experience directing marine, technical and safety operations.
• Extensive marine and engineering operations knowledge with SOLAS/IMO experience.
• Experience in cruise line fleet operations, new builds, dry docks and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to define vision, build teams, drive accountability and operational excellence.
• Strong strategic thinking and enterprise-level planning skills.
• Advanced financial acumen including budgeting and long-range planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder alignment.
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of procedures supporting the Safety Management System.
• Ensure ships operate efficiently while pursuing cost savings without compromising safety.
• Coordinate regulatory surveys and inspections of ships.
• Provide marine and technical expertise and oversee key projects with senior leadership.
• Implement safety operational procedures onboard ships and private destinations.
• Oversee environmental protection and pollution prevention measures aboard ships.
• Develop and manage operating budgets for Marine, Safety and Technical Operations.
• Address defects, report to authorities, and ensure follow-up actions.
• Oversee voyage planning and itinerary planning in collaboration with executives.
