Job summary

Aventure Staffing seeks a Director of Quality & Food Safety to lead the plant-wide quality, lab, and regulatory compliance operations. This senior role reports to executive leadership and drives a strong food safety culture across production, QA, and engineering teams.

You will oversee GFSI/BRCGS readiness, FSMA/HACCP programs, and ensure FDA and international labeling compliance while managing supplier qualifications and investigations. Excellent benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years in progressive QA and food safety with supervisory experience.
• PCQI and HACCP certifications; knowledge of GFSI standards (BRCGS preferred).
• Experience directing QA labs, EMP, allergen controls and audit readiness.
• Experience with shelf-stable snacks, fats/oils, extruded/popped goods, or microwave packaging is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, SPC and international labeling.

Responsibilities

• Direct GFSI/BRCGS food safety system, FSMA, HACCP; lead audits and CAPA.
• Oversee QA lab operations, calibration, sampling, testing.
• Lead QA team and foster plant-wide food safety culture.
• Oversee supplier approvals, COA verifications, non-conformances.
• Ensure FDA and international labeling compliance.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain ERP traceability, formulas, specifications, retailer docs.
