Job summary

UnCruise Adventures seeks a strategic VP of Fleet Technical Operations to lead the shipboard and shoreside engineering teams, budgets, and capital programs. The role oversees vessel maintenance, regulatory readiness, and project execution across the fleet, driving reliability and optimized spend.

The ideal candidate balances deep technical knowledge with executive leadership, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to support a 24/7 operations model.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of maritime technical operations experience with ownership of budgets.
• Experience leading shipyard contracts and major capital projects.
• Strong understanding of USCG, classification society, and small passenger vessel requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or related field; license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Fleet Technical Operations, regulatory compliance, and fleet capital planning.
• Own OPEX/CAPEX budgets, drydock planning, and major vessel projects.
• Set standards for reliability, maintenance, and risk management across multiple vessels.
• Coordinate with shipyards, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely execution.
