Job summary

UnCruise Adventures seeks an experienced Captain to lead the Vessel Leadership Team and oversee onboard managers and crew. You will ensure safe, professional delivery of our cruise products and guest experiences across Alaska and other destinations.

Responsibilities include navigation planning, safety briefings, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on decisive leadership, clear communication, and high guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as Captain or 1st Mate on passenger-carrying vessels.
• Extensive vessel operations experience in Alaska and other seas.
• Ability to plan voyages and perform navigational calculations.
• Excellent crisis management and sound judgment under pressure.
• Supervisory experience in maritime environment required; hotel ops preferred.
• Proficient with Windows-based computer systems and MS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vessel Leadership Team and oversee onboard managers and crew.
• Ensure safe, professional delivery of cruise products and guest experiences.
• Maintain compliance with safety, navigation, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate training, evaluations, and performance reviews for crew.
• Deliver effective communication with guests, staff, and shore-side management.
