Job summary

Barrett Hospital seeks an accomplished Chief Clinical Officer to lead clinical and nursing patient care across the facility, guiding services from med/surge to radiology and pharmacy while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The CCO collaborates with senior leadership to align clinical programs with the organization’s mission and strategic goals, foster teamwork, and drive continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience at executive level in a hospital setting.
• Experience with LEAN and process improvement methods.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills for reporting and decision making.
• Ability to lead departmental projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and directs patient care activities across clinical services.
• Oversees emergency preparedness program and drills; maintains policies and documents.
• Develops policies and standards to meet objectives in clinical areas.
• Provides leadership aligned with values and strategic vision.
• Represents Barrett Hospital to civic, professional, educational and business groups.
• Manages budget and financial performance of reporting services.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory/licensing agencies and patient safety.
• Leads LEAN initiatives and coaches department managers.
