Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Head of Electrical Systems in Birmingham, AL to lead electrical strategy for mission-critical modular products. The role drives architecture, manufacturability, deployment, and scalability while building high-performing teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership to standardize components, optimize costs, and ensure readiness from concept through commissioning across sites.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading electrical engineering in mission-critical environments.
• Experience owning complex electrical systems from design through commissioning.
• Led cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, construction, and operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, NEC/NFPA, grounding, switchgear, UPS, generators.
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings and specifications.
• Leadership in budgeting, cost optimization, and margin improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical systems strategy and execution for a major product line.
• Drive performance, reliability, cost optimization, and manufacturability.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary electrical team.
• Influence architecture, distribution, grounding, and controls.
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and field deployment.
• Standardize components with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Lead commissioning, startup, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with exec leadership on long-term electrical strategies.
