Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking a forward-thinking Project Executive for our Concrete Division in Franklin, TN. This leadership role oversees project teams and a portfolio of concrete construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while aligning with NexGen’s objectives.

You will guide teams, manage budgets and schedules, foster client relationships, and mentor staff to support NexGen’s growth and excellence in turnkey concrete delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a Senior Project Management role.
• Proven ability to ensure project success through planning, design, and execution with leadership in large, diverse teams and multi-regional projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and CMIC.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of leading teams and negotiating with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the lifecycle of multiple projects within safety, quality, performance standards, and financial goals.
• Strengthen relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams; serve as primary customer contact for escalations.
• Guide project teams towards excellence with clear goals, feedback, and documentation.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, AP/AR, and change orders; monitor KPIs for decisions.
• Implement and monitor risk management practices and communicate mitigations.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation from start-up to health reviews.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to ensure contractual terms are met and delivery succeeds.
