• Graduation from an accredited law school and active Iowa licensure.
• Minimum ten years of progressively responsible public-sector law and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of labor relations, procurement, compliance, and enterprise risk management.

Mansioni

• Serve as primary counsel to the Board of Supervisors and officials on legal affairs, compliance, personnel administration, labor relations, risk management, policy implementation, and litigation exposure.
• Coordinate with the County Attorney or outside counsel for legal advice and representation; manage internal and external resources.
• Lead procurement oversight, contract administration, and vendor negotiations with Board approval and applicable law.
• Define scope of services with outside counsel; manage budgets and performance expectations; ensure policies align with legal requirements.
• Direct personnel administration, collective bargaining strategy, workplace investigations, and employment-compliance initiatives.
• Draft resolutions, ordinances, and other legal documents; serve as Parliamentarian at Board meetings while respecting statutory duties.
