Job summary

The Department of Social Services (DSS) within New York City’s HRA and DHS is seeking an Executive Project Manager to lead the HRA IT portfolio and drive major program initiatives. You will work under the HRA Administrator, shaping policy and coordinating with senior leaders to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, public health, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a JD from an accredited law school with two years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree and four years of professional experience including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity as described, with substantial budget/financial administration or program evaluation experience.
• Associate degree or 60 semester credits and six years of professional experience including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity.
• High school diploma and eight years of full-time professional experience including 18 months in executive/managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the HRA portfolio of IT work and initiatives under the HRA Administrator."
• Brainstorm, develop, manage projects and implement program policy and operations initiatives to high standards.
• Chairs and leads governance committees and coordinates IT solutions across agency functions.
• Act as a liaison with Chief Officers/Deputy Commissioners and interagency partners on IT and budget matters.
• Represent the Administrator in meetings with City/State partners on policy and project direction.
