Job summary

WatchGuard Technologies is seeking a Communications Specialist to scale internal and external communications with executives, employees, media, and partners. The role sits at the center of executive communications, external communications, and internal engagement, collaborating closely with senior leadership to ensure messaging is clear and impactful at its Seattle headquarters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in communications, PR, or related field.
• Strong writing and editing across executive, social, internal, and PR formats.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools for content, workflows, or research.
• Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience with internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
• Familiarity with PR and analyst relations workflows.
• Comfort working in-person with executives in a Seattle-based office.

Responsibilities

• Support CEO and executive communications, including messaging, social content, speaking opportunities, and event prep.
• Partner with leadership to develop authentic, high-impact LinkedIn and external content.
• Coordinate logistics and messaging for executive participation in media and industry engagements.
• Manage company-wide town halls and internal announcements, updates, and storytelling.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, including internal awards and recognition programs.
• Shape and maintain a strong, connected office culture at Seattle HQ.
• Plan and execute Employee Advocacy to boost brand awareness.
• Support PR and other comms activities requiring Seattle-based executive coordination.
• Assist with press materials, briefing prep, and general communications operations for key Seattle executives.
• Develop content for blogs, social posts, podcasts, and thought leadership.
