Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent; professional designations preferred.
• 10+ years of Inland Marine underwriting experience across multiple classes.
• Strong proficiency in underwriting, book management, marketing, and product development.
• Ability to coach underwriters and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across senior and field management.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business and endorsements.
• Achieve growth and profitability targets.
• Drives execution of plans to achieve results.
• Mentor junior underwriters on portfolio management and strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Develop new business opportunities with agents and promote Hanover.
• Collaborate on strategy execution within the territory.
