Job summary

Barnes & Thornburg LLP seeks an accomplished Chief Human Resources Officer to provide strategic oversight of all HR functions, including recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, HRIS, policy development and compliance. The CHRO partners with the COO and other C-suite leaders to advance firm goals and enterprise initiatives.

The role leads the HR department, manages budget, and drives talent strategy across a multi-state or global organization, with focus on leadership development

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field; MBA/MA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Firm's HR strategy aligned with firm goals.
• Lead and develop the HR department and manage annual budget.
• Oversee performance management, offers, separations, and related processes.
• Design and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy.
• Provide strategic HRIS oversight and analytics capability.
• Update workforce policies in partnership with GC and C-Suite.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Address EEOC/ADA/claims in collaboration with legal counsel.
• Other duties as assigned.
