Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. seeks an experienced HR leader to develop and drive the Human Resources function in recruitment, performance management, succession planning, change management, and employee relations.

The role provides leadership to HR professionals and aligns HR strategy with WVU Medicine’s mission. The position emphasizes collaboration with senior leadership, compliance with healthcare regulations and collective bargaining where applicable, and delivering cost-effective HR programs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration, organizational development or related field.

Responsibilities

Leads the development of service-oriented HR strategies and programs aligned with the organization’s strategy.
Collaborates with WVU Medicine CHRO and Talent Acquisition to ensure talent, culture and engaged workforce.
Develops engagement and retention programs and measures outcomes in business terms.
Advises senior leadership on human capital matters and organizational culture.
Oversees HR programs and policies to ensure legal compliance and financial feasibility.
Works with recruiters and HR partners to achieve strategic goals and risk management.
Oversees annual HR budget and department operations.
Partners with legal on collective bargaining administration and negotiations.
