Job summary

Hyatt Regency La Jolla is seeking a Director of Human Resources to partner with the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team, aligning people strategies with business goals and guest satisfaction initiatives. This on-site role leads talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and development while upholding Hyatt's standards.

You will drive engagement, cultivate an inclusive culture, ensure legal compliance, and collaborate with corporate HR

Qualifications

• California HR experience preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive Human Resources experience (typically with Hyatt).
• Director of Human Resources experience is preferred.
• SHRM or PHR certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and Executive Leadership Team, aligning people strategies with operational and financial goals.
• Lead all Human Resources functions, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that supports colleague engagement and Hyatt values.
• Provide coaching to leaders on colleague relations, performance management, investigations, and policy interpretation.
