HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Director of Housekeeping at Embassy Suites Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort to lead cleanliness and service excellence across guestrooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will strategize staffing, training, and budgeting to drive guest satisfaction and efficiency.

The role requires extensive housekeeping leadership, strong teamwork with other departments, and a proactive approach to maintenance and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience, with at least 3 years in housekeeping management.
• Experience managing in-house operated laundry operations.
• Thorough knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operations and individual job requirements.
• Ability to work with other department leaders.
• Ability to resolve guest, supervisor, and associate conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor staff workload to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Develop housekeeping and laundry budget and implement expense controls.
• Schedule labor to match forecasted occupancy, F&B activity, and events.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
• Communicate directions clearly to staff and with other departments.
• Interact with guests to resolve issues and maintain high service levels.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and OSHA guidelines and participate in preventive maintenance.
