Job summary

Hotel Saint Augustine seeks an Executive Housekeeper to lead the Housekeeping team and oversee cleanliness, staff training, and policy implementation. You will uphold the property's culture and ensure exceptional guest experiences across rooms, public spaces and event areas.

The role emphasizes staff development, operational oversight, and adherence to health, safety, and Bunkhouse standards, with collaboration across departments to sustain guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak the primary language(s) of the workplace.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures and strategies.
• Responsible for all aspects of cleanliness including rooms, public space and event space.
• Demonstrate a working understanding of labor metrics and cost control through effective scheduling and proactive management.
• Schedule Housekeeping hours and assign duties and responsibilities in accordance with work requirements.
• Train and supervise Housekeeping staff.
• Ensure all employees adhere to dress code policies for their scheduled shift.
• Resolve customer complaints regarding Housekeeping operations.
• Inspect all guest rooms and ensure each passes Bunkhouse standards.
