We’re hiring a housekeeping manager to provide excellent sanitation and customer service to our hotel guests. You’ll be responsible for leading the housekeeping staff, ensuring team members perform their job duties to our high standards, and keeping the housekeeping department well-stocked with cleaning supplies.
Applicants should have hospitality experience, enjoy their work, and demonstrate a commitment to meeting and exceeding guest expectations. Previous experience in a supervisory role is required.
Responsibilities:
- Make Housekeeping Boards
- Conduct a daily stand-up meeting
- Ensure Cart Rooms are stocked, functional, clean, and tidy
- Conduct thorough inspections of Vacant Dirty rooms, correct deficiencies, and make them Vacant Ready
- Conduct thorough inspections of all rooms, ensuring they meet high standards
- Communicate professionally and warmly with staff and guests
- Track room service refusals efficiently
- Monitor HKPG Boards, Goal Times, and Equipment Use
- Ensure staff safety during emergencies like COVID-19
- Manage departures and track individual housekeeper's time per room
- Maintain payroll within budget guidelines
- Ensure HKPG minutes per room do not exceed 35 minutes
- Create and enforce goal times
- Keep the minutes per room spreadsheet updated
- Host housekeeping standup meetings
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies
- Record discarded linen daily and update the linen tracker
- Order necessary supplies
- Identify and relay maintenance concerns
- Track late departures and enforce property rules
- Manage self and organize projects to meet deadlines
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance with Maintenance
- Ensure effective use of GXP and that staff are trained to use it
Qualifications:
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to identify details with 100% accuracy and follow up diligently
- Technological Proficiency: Skilled in FOSSE, MARSHA, MGS, GXP, and Microsoft Office
- Brand Standards: Capable of making quick decisions aligned with guest satisfaction and brand standards
- Professional Demeanor: Always maintain a neat appearance and conduct yourself professionally
- Strong Speech: Confident verbal communication, especially in conflict resolution
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to assess situations and communicate solutions effectively
- Leadership Capabilities: Skill in managing a challenging department tactfully and professionally
Compensation: $16 hourly
