Job description

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, Downtown, a Crescent Hotels and Resorts property, is currently hiring for an Executive Housekeeper to provide supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of the hotel, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

REPORTS TO: Assistant General Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, resolve problems, communicate openly, and recommend discipline or termination when appropriate.
  2. Provide clear directions in assigning and instructing housekeeping and laundry staff.
  3. Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, including visual inspections of guest rooms and public spaces.
  4. Manage finances of housekeeping and laundry, including budgeting, inventory controls, and analyzing expenditures and wages in relation to financial forecasts.
  5. Distribute workload efficiently to maximize guest satisfaction while minimizing expenses.
  6. Ensure proper use and training regarding chemicals and cleaning supplies, including hazardous materials labeling.
  7. Plan and conduct staff meetings and attend related meetings for information dissemination.
  8. Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, and decor; make recommendations for renovations.
  9. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to staff.
  10. Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
  11. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
