Summary
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for directing and controlling housekeeping operations and staff. They coordinate between crews to inspect assigned areas and ensure standards are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend and arrange training for housekeeping staff as needed.
- Supervise the Assistant to the Executive Housekeeper and Conference Housekeepers.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings.
- Provide ongoing feedback and evaluations, both verbal and written.
- Perform quality checks of rooms and inspect for readiness before guest check-in.
- Develop systems for supply ordering and inventory tracking.
- Coordinate with Conference Managers for planning and staffing.
- Know the layout of the building and locations of critical systems.
- Report maintenance issues promptly.
- Present a professional image and maintain a positive attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of cleaning principles, products, and equipment.
- Experience with customer service and hotel cleanliness standards.
- Professional, reliable, punctual, alert, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment and with various individuals.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma preferred; not required.
- Up to three years of hands-on housekeeping experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and maneuver equipment for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to chemicals, hazards, and outdoor environments.
