Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial operations of a New Jersey acute care facility. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, capital planning, and performance metrics while ensuring GAAP compliance and strategic alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or closely related field.
• Extensive knowledge of Health Care Accounting practices and principles.
• Five to seven years experience in hospital accounting/finance; two years in management preferred.
• Proficiency with end-to-end hospital revenue cycle operations.
• CPA preferred; ACHE membership or similar organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out policies and procedures established by the Governing Board in line with hospital philosophy.
• Present financial activity reports to the Governing Board or committees.
• Plan and organize department activities and maintain financial records per GAAP.
• Prepare annual operating capital expenditure and cash flow budgets for approval.
• Supervise financial affairs to optimize fund use within budgets.
• Set and measure goals to ensure effective outcomes and priorities.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet changing demands and priorities.
• Employ analytical skills to resolve complex problems and drive performance improvement.
• Identify issues and propose solutions to support organizational goals.
• Maintain integrated processes and systems aligning with the organization’s mission.
