Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for day shift responsibilities in patient clinics. You will recognize urgent needs, document care in the EMR, and assist with exams, immunizations, injections, and procedures under provider supervision.

Duties include vitals, aseptic technique, and coordinating with health care teams. Required are a CAHEP/ABHES-accredited MA program, CMA or RMA certification within the first year, BLS, and preferred clinic experience.

Qualifications

• AA/BA not required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program is required.
• CMA or RMA certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Abuse reporting training proof within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Recognize urgent/emergent needs and initiate appropriate procedures.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with procedures, exams and use diagnostic equipment as assigned.
• Take vitals, room patients, immunizations and injections as directed.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper room and supply organization.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and cross-clinic coverage.
