Compass Group USA is seeking a General Manager to maintain the account in line with the approved budget, while meeting client expectations and ensuring excellent staff, guest, and client relations.

You will promote professional growth of the team, foster interdepartmental collaboration, and integrate dining services with facility plans. Strong leadership, budgeting, and HACCP knowledge are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight to ten years upscale food service experience, including six years at management level.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning.
• Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with company/client policies.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in employee meetings, reviews and training programs.
• Manages in compliance with company policies and procedures and with laws and regulations.
• Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards.
• Establishes and maintains good rapport with staff, client and guest, and other departments.
• Manages financial reporting, sales/P&L, budgets and cash handling.
• Plans menus in consultation with chefs; HACCP knowledge and proper food storage/use.
