Job summary

Teaching Through Education LLC is seeking an executive function coach to work with kids and teens in the north Houston area (Conroe, The Woodlands, Spring, Kingwood, Montgomery County, etc.). Sessions are hands-on and play-based, conducted 1-1 or in small groups, mostly in homes or learning centers, with some virtual sessions.

You will follow our curriculum, tailor coaching to each child, and build real relationships to foster deeper learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in roles such as teacher, tutor, mentor, counselor or coach.
• Must be patient and maintain a calm presence with kids.
• Ability to explain things to parents in simple terms.
• Reliable transportation for in-person sessions in the north Houston area.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a big plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Background in psychology or special education is not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Run one-on-one and/or small group coaching sessions (no more than 5) using our curriculum
• Follow our coaching plan for each student in sessions, with ongoing coaching and progress tracking
• Write session notes within 48 hours of each session
• Keep families updated in a warm, professional way
• Join team meetings and trainings as needed
