Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors in North Carolina seeks Executive Function & ADHD Coaches for private in-home tutoring across subjects for students of all ages. We value energetic, enthusiastic educators who are committed to excellence and student success.

Ideal candidates are certified teachers or those on the path to certification, with knowledge of executive function and ADHD, and a passion for shaping young minds.

Qualifications

• Must hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Education or enrolled in an approved educator preparation program is acceptable for candidates.
• Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at a U.S. or Canadian university is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support—or a challenge to stretch them further.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.

What We’re Looking For:

• You hold a current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• You’re a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• You’re a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or an approved educator preparation program.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
• You are knowledgeable about Executive Functioning and ADHD.
• You're currently in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, Leesville.
