Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors in North Carolina is seeking SAT and ACT Test Prep Tutors. We hire certified teachers or candidates pursuing licensure, with knowledge of SAT/ACT prep and experience in higher education settings.

You will develop customized plans aligned to the NC Standard Course of Study, collaborate with parents, offer remedial and enrichment, and enjoy flexible hours and autonomy.

Qualifications

• Must hold NC Professional Educator's License or be in an approved educator program (NCDPI).
• Qualified teacher in the United States or in the process of becoming one.
• Teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or approved educator preparation program.
• Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at a U.S. or Canadian university.
• Knowledge of SAT/ACT Test Preparation.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support—or a challenge to stretch them further.
• Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.

What We’re Looking For:

• You hold a current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• You’re a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• You’re a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or an approved educator preparation program.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
• You are knowledgeable about SAT / ACT Test Preparation.
• You're currently in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, Leesville.
