Job summary

UCSF seeks an Executive Director to lead the finance, accounting, and financial reporting for UCSF Foundation and related entities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area; equivalent experience accepted.
• 10+ years in a complex accounting environment.
• GASB/FASB guidance knowledge in accounting and financial reporting.
• Supervisory experience in a complex Foundation or nonprofit finance and accounting function.
• Advanced knowledge of finance policies, budgeting, fund accounting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct the finance, accounting, and financial reporting shared services for the UCSF Foundation, BCH-Oakland Foundation, and gift/endowment operations.
• Oversee corporate finance, treasury, legal and tax compliance for the Foundation entities.
• Manage endowment and short-term investments to support the Chancellor's Core Financial Plan.
• Lead accounting and financial analysis teams within UDAR and partner with campus leaders and boards.
• Drive system modernization and automation of financial processes and internal controls.
