Job summary

Safe Alliance in Charlotte, NC seeking a Chief Finance Officer to lead the organization's finance operations, oversee internal finance team and our outsourced service provider, and partner with the President & CEO to safeguard financial health and program integrity.

You will manage budgets, audits, grant compliance, forecasts, and financial policies, while building a culture of teamwork and excellent service across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years in nonprofit budgeting and finance leadership.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual nonprofit budget.
• Lead audits and coordinate with external vendors.
• Manage capital budget and quarterly updates with leadership.
• Develop long-term forecasting and monitor factors impacting budgets.
• Ensure compliance with licenses, registrations, and grant restrictions.
• Oversee Grants management processes and grant spend reporting.
