S+H Search in Chicago is seeking a seasoned financial leader for a key role focused on advancing the nonprofit’s financial strategy and operations. You will partner with the CEO and executive team to shape budgets, reporting, and compliance while guiding strategic decisions and donor relations.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree is a bonus.
  • Strong finance-based analytical skills.
  • 10+ years' of finance experience in nonprofit financial leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic financial vision for the organization, in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Develop and oversee financial strategies and operations by analyzing financial information and making recommendations to improve performance and support decision-making.
  • Oversee banking relationships and serve as the primary liaison with all financial institutions, oversee and monitor banking and credit activities of the organization.
  • Support program and accounting staff to manage and monitor program and project budgets and ensure that actual revenues and expenses align.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with funders, government agencies, and other organizations, in partnership with the CEO.
  • Partner with the COO, negotiate and oversee manage capital purchases and facilities leases, manage leases and assets, and oversee communications and interactions with the landlord and other external facilities partners.

This is a role meant for someone who truly enjoys the Non-Profit space, who is compassionate and moved by not only what Non-Profit stands for in the community at large, but most importantly....motivated by what this organization is doing for families, individuals, and the City.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, compliance, and more. They will collaborate closely with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
