Smith Arnold Partners seeks an accomplished Chief Financial Officer/Director of Finance to lead all accounting and finance operations for a rapidly growing precision medical manufacturing organization in Mooresville, NC, reporting directly to executive leadership and shaping the company’s long-term financial strategy.

The role emphasizes strategic partnership, strong internal controls, GAAP compliance, budgeting and forecasting, ERP optimization, and operational excellence to drive profitability

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive executive-level accounting and finance experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership, management, or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial technology platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations across the organization.
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth and profitability.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
• Assist in strategic planning, forecasting, and long-term business initiatives.
• Evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, General Ledger, and Budgeting functions.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to leadership.
• Manage tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all financial records.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, financial regulations, and industry standards.
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
• Support ERP optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive operational efficiencies across accounting and finance functions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and professional development opportunities for team members.
• Establish performance objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
