Job summary

APEL Extrusions is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead financial operations at the Phoenix, Arizona facility. This executive role reports to the President and partners with the Board to shape corporate strategy and drive enterprise value across US and Canada.

The position requires CPA and a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 7+ years of leadership in manufacturing finance and strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA designation.
• 7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience including senior management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Experience leading finance functions in a fast-paced growth environment.
• Experience with US/Canada compliance, Tax and GAAP would be preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing finance is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Company’s senior financial strategist, partnering with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to shape corporate strategy, evaluate growth opportunities, and drive long-term enterprise value creation.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve profitability, operational efficiency, cash flow, and ROI.
• Oversee financial planning and analysis, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and accounting while balancing strategic leadership with execution.
• Provide guidance on financial implications of major business decisions and risk management.
• Ensure strong financial governance, capital planning, liquidity management, and GAAP compliance.
• Manage Credit and Collections and coordinate with external agencies for related programs and compliance.
• Travel periodically to Calgary and Coburg facilities as required.
