Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality is seeking an experienced Area Director of Finance to lead the financial strategy, reporting, and business planning for three hotels, based at The Stelle in Park City, Utah.

You will supervise the property accounting and finance teams, oversee budgeting, year‑end audits, cash flow, and provide timely reporting to owners and the executive team.

The role offers a base salary of $160,000–$175,000 with eligibility for a bonus up to 30% based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive hospitality finance leadership experience, including luxury resort, mixed-use, condominium-hotel, or complex food and beverage operations.
• Forward thinking, solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience and confidence presenting to ownership.
• Preferred experience in luxury resorts, residential resort communities, ski destinations, mixed-use developments, or condo-hotel environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assume responsibility for hotel properties accounting practices, maintenance of accurate financial records, and the timely preparation of financial reports.
• Assist in nurturing the important relationship with the hotel properties owners and supervise reporting.
• Provide financial oversight for HOA, condominium-owner, and residential resort operations, including budgeting, reserve funding, and board reporting.
• Complete the year-end audit process and coordinate external auditor’s visits.
• Review cash flows and communicate with executives and owners as necessary.
• Supervise preparation and review of all monthly and annual financial statements and explain variance explanations.
• Interpret operating results and recommend cost reductions and profit improvements.
• Support annual budgeting process and development budgets and business plans for hotels.
• Check appropriation requests against budgets and ensure expenditures stay within limits.
• Ensure compliance on regulatory licenses, leases, contracts, and tax obligations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams with a culture of accountability.
