Job summary

Epirus seeks a VP of Marketing and Communications to partner with executive leadership and shape Epirus' core messaging, vision and positioning. This role will manage external communications, media relations and public-facing messaging while coordinating with an internal design team and leading major events.

The candidate will develop relationships with government/defense media, implement structured marketing frameworks, and guide investor relations with a clear, measurable approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
• 10+ years of marketing/communications/public relations experience with senior leadership.
• Strategic communicator who can craft clear, structured themes and messages.
• Experience building and controlling an external narrative, including media relations and press strategy.
• Experience developing relationships with government/defense media personnel preferred.
• Ability to operate against structured marketing frameworks and reporting.
• Strong written and oral communication with initiative and urgency.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to shape Epirus' messaging, vision, and positioning.
• Manage external narrative, media relations, press strategy and public communications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with DoW/defense media personnel.
• Propose structured, measurable marketing frameworks and reporting.
• Direct and brief external/internal creative partners; lead events and thought leadership activities.
• Support investor relations with narrative-building and relationship management.
• Lead a small team including an events lead and two reports.
• Monitor industry and competitive news and disseminate to the company.
