Job summary

Oliver Wyman seeks a Principal Architect to lead design and governance of complex enterprise solutions across cloud, data, and AI within the Performance Transformation practice. You will oversee due diligence, target‑state architectures, and platform selections while guiding delivery teams and stakeholders.

You will mentor architects and engineers, translate business goals into scalable architectures, and ensure secure, cost‑efficient implementations across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• 10‑15+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technology consulting, software engineering, or related leadership roles.
• Proven track record delivering complex enterprise technology solutions across industries.
• Experience leading technology due diligence, architecture assessments, and modernization initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience designing AI, ML, analytics, and GenAI‑enabled solutions in enterprises.
• Strong understanding of architecture patterns, distributed systems, APIs, and modern development practices.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy and architecture engagements aligned with client transformation goals.
• Conduct technology due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and transformations.
• Define end‑to‑end solution architectures across applications, data, integrations, cloud, and AI.
• Develop target‑state blueprints, roadmaps, and reference architectures.
• Lead platform evaluation and selection processes with vendor assessments and PoC.
• Design AI/GenAI architectures with governance, security, and model ops.
• Provide architecture leadership during implementation and governance across programs.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and consultants; contribute to reusable assets and accelerators.
