You’ll edit contract writers, build a local source network, manage CMS/CRM, coordinate visuals, and publish across channels. This full-time, remote-friendly role requires 5+ years of local journalism, Buckhead knowledge, and openness to AI tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years local journalism experience - local, community, business, real estate.
• Consistent volume and quality.
• Cold-source persistence.
• Editor, not only writer.
• Willing to write for another byline.
• Buckhead knowledge is a strong advantage.
• Visual judgment for shoots and imagery.
• Self-directed in a remote/work-from-anywhere setup.
• Willing to work with AI tools.
• Process driven; CRM and calendar tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead editorial for Buckhead.com and The Buckhead Paper.
• Report and write 12 original stories per month byline; shape print edition quarterly.
• Edit contract writers and refine publisher's copy before publication.
• Build and maintain a source network; manage visuals and CRM.
• Publish stories to CMS and social channels; coordinate photographer direction.
• Within year, help hire/manage a Content Extension Specialist for video/podcasts.
