Job summary

Apex-Healthcare in Miami, FL seeks an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead all clinical operations within a Skilled Nursing Facility. This full-time executive role requires prior DON experience in an SNF and active FL RN licensure.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, staffing stability, quality metrics, and regulatory readiness. The DON will oversee budgeting, staff development, and QAPI initiatives, and will collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary

Qualifications

Active Florida RN license is required
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility
Demonstrated survey experience and regulatory leadership
Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance
Proven ability to manage and retain nursing staff
Experience overseeing staffing, labor management, and clinical operations in a SNF environment

Responsibilities

Provide executive oversight of all nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility
Ensure compliance with CMS and state long-term care regulations
Maintain survey readiness and lead regulatory inspections and plans of correction
Oversee staffing strategy, scheduling oversight, and nursing leadership development
Monitor clinical documentation, infection control practices, and quality indicators
Lead QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts
Manage nursing department budget and labor oversight
Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team
