Job summary

North Lake Care Center in Lake Park, Florida is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead all clinical operations and nursing services in a full‑time, permanent executive role.

As DON, you will ensure regulatory compliance, staffing stability, and high-quality patient care, while guiding the nursing department, budgeting, and QAPI initiatives.

Candidates must hold an active Florida RN license, have 2+ years as DON in a SNF, and pass background screening.

Qualifications

• Active FL RN license required.
• 2+ years as Director of Nursing in a Skilled Nursing Facility required.
• Experience with CMS regulations and long-term care compliance advantageous.
• Ability to manage staffing, labor, and clinical operations in SNF.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of all nursing operations within the SNF.
• Ensure CMS and state long-term care regulation compliance.
• Maintain survey readiness and lead regulatory inspections and plans of correction.
• Oversee staffing strategy, scheduling oversight, and nursing leadership development.
• Monitor clinical documentation, infection control practices, and quality indicators.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and performance improvement efforts.
• Manage nursing department budget and labor oversight.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary leadership team.
