New York City Economic Development Corporation is seeking an Executive Director for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Development Corporation (BMTDC) to lead a landmark redevelopment of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal into a modern maritime port and vibrant mixed-use community.

As chief executive officer of BMTDC, you will drive strategic planning, build a team, and forge partnerships with city agencies, labor, community groups, and developers to achieve inclusive growth and project success.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required, with strong preference for an advanced degree.
• Experience leading complex public or quasi-public redevelopment projects is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to steward diverse stakeholder groups including government, labor, community groups, and industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic vision and leadership for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal redevelopment.
• Lead governance and external relationships with community stakeholders, labor, and public partners.
• Manage budget, grants, and financial oversight for the development corporation.
• Lead staff development, hiring, and organizational structure in a growing entity.
• Present to executive level staff, City Hall, and other government partners on project progress.
• Represent BMTDC in public meetings and external engagements.
