Job Description:

• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures resident care delivery systems meet state and federal regulations and guidelines.
• Monitors and analyzes quality indicators, develops action plans, and ensures timely follow-up on recommendations.
• Reviews nursing personnel records and references, and participates in staff evaluations and performance improvement plans.
• Validates that licensed nursing personnel have valid and current licenses.
• Validates orientation and ongoing staff development for all personnel.
• Recommends the number and levels of nursing personnel to be employed and participates in their recruitment, selection, and termination.
• Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of policies and recommends changes when necessary.
• Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.
