Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our full-time day shift team. You will assess patients, create care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with the care team.

Candidates must have an RN license (BLS) and an Associate degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's is preferred. Florida Level 2 background screening may apply. Join us to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• RN licensure (and BLS/CPR) required.
• Florida Level 2 background screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across multiple domains.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and securely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
