Job summary

AdventHealth Zephyrhills in Florida seeks an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing services and supervise clinical staff. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage staffing, and drive quality improvement across the facility.

The role emphasizes policy development, performance evaluation, and ongoing staff training to uphold AdventHealth's standards of care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Florida with DON leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of nursing home administration principles.
• Experience setting staffing and performance improvement plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident care delivery systems meeting state and federal regulations.
• Monitor quality indicators and develop action plans with timely follow-up.
• Review nursing personnel records and participate in staff evaluations and performance improvement.
• Validate licenses and ensure ongoing orientation and staff development.
• Recommend staffing levels and participate in recruitment and termination decisions.
• Develop and maintain nursing service objectives and standards of practice.

Job Description:

Other duties as assigned. Ensures resident care delivery systems meet state and federal regulations and guidelines. Monitors and analyzes quality indicators, develops action plans, and ensures timely follow-up on recommendations. Reviews nursing personnel records and references, and participates in staff evaluations and performance improvement plans. Validates that licensed nursing personnel have valid and current licenses. Validates orientation and ongoing staff development for all personnel. Recommends the number and levels of nursing personnel to be employed and participates in their recruitment, selection, and termination. Participates in the planning, development, and implementation of policies and recommends changes when necessary. Develops and maintains nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.

• 3+ prior director of nursing experience [Preferred]
• Prior regional experience [Preferred]
