Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is expanding its Rochester Hills, MI location and seeks an Executive Director to lead operational excellence, clinical quality, and the cultural anchor of the facility. You will drive culture through presence, develop people, and leverage community relationships to represent the center.

We value a leader who builds teams, owns the P&L, ensures regulatory compliance, and partners with senior leadership to guide strategic growth across two programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in substance use disorder and/or mental health settings.
• Minimum 3 years in a facility leadership role with census, staffing, P&L, and regulatory responsibility.
• Established Michigan SUD/MH relationships preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze market data and drive growth.
• Strong financial acumen, operations management, and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience with CARF, Joint Commission and state/federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Set the cultural tone of the facility through visible, people-first leadership.
• Lead and stabilize a multi-disciplinary team across clinical, administrative, and support functions.
• Own staffing decisions including recruitment, coaching, and separations in partnership with HR.
• Own site-level P&L in partnership with Regional Executive; drive revenue and manage expenses.
• Own census performance, program quality, and regulatory compliance across all programs.
• Maintain licensing relationships, site visits, and corrective action plans.
• Ensure a safe, compliant environment in line with standards.
• Develop policies and programs to advance the organization and obtain leadership approval.
• Serve as the community ambassador through referrals, partnerships and stakeholder trust.
• Contribute to strategic planning and long-term growth with Regional Executive and Senior Leadership.
