Job summary

Sequoia Living in the San Francisco Bay Area seeks an Executive Director to oversee staff, services, and programs, ensuring compliance with regulations governing skilled nursing and elder care.

The role leads culture, strategic planning, and financial stewardship while maintaining strong community relations and resident satisfaction. A California Nursing Home Administrator license is expected or could be obtained under supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Title 22 and OBRA; policies for skilled nursing facilities.
• 10+ years of senior administration experience in a related setting.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and evaluate large staff teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sequoia Living Support Services and other locations to standardize best practices.
• Foster a positive culture focused on accountability, care, and teamwork.
• Set and align goals with mission and corporate policies; translate board goals into plans.
• Develop long-term operation plans, capital projects, staffing, and services.
• Recommend new policies; implement staff procedures and policies.
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Drive performance indicators and dashboard targets.
• Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and administration.
• Engage resident leadership and committees to support community goals.
• Participate in senior management and corporate task forces as needed.
• Serve as Community Risk Manager under Corporate Risk Management.
• Implement safety programs and coordinate safety committees.
• Liaise with agencies, community groups, volunteers, and staff.
• Support staff development and succession planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
