Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks an Executive Director, Coding to lead enterprise-wide centralized coding, drive regulatory compliance, and optimize revenue cycle performance. This role partners across Clinical Operations, Finance, Quality, Compliance, and IS to advance AI-enabled coding technologies and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master’s preferred in finance, business or health info
• Ten years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or related fields; five years leadership
• RHIA, CPHIMS, or CPC required; CCS/CCDS/CDIP preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct, administer, and lead centralized coding operations
• Establish enterprise-wide coding strategy and performance expectations
• Oversee metrics impacting external rankings and quality measures
• Collaborate across Clinical Operations, Finance, Compliance, HIM and others
• Ensure adherence to regulations and billing compliance standards
• Provide oversight for systems supporting coding and revenue cycle operations
