Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group seeks an Executive Director, Real Estate Legal Government Relations and Public Policy to lead nationwide government affairs, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. You will liaison with federal, state, and local agencies, regulators, and communities to support development objectives and manage third‑party consents and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field; a law license is required.
• Construction, regulatory and negotiation experience is required.
• 12–15 years of experience in real estate, public relations, and community engagement or similar roles with increasing management responsibility.
• Successful completion of initial and periodic trainings; Food Handler's Card within 30 days may be required.

Responsibilities

• Leads Real Estate Government Relations, Public Policy, and Legislative Affairs influencing matters affecting development, operations, permitting, zoning, land use, and utilities.
• Develops and executes government relations and stakeholder engagement strategies; identifies risks and opportunities for development objectives.
• Partners with internal teams to secure third‑party consents and approvals, interpreting laws and regulatory requirements.
• Builds relationships with governmental entities, municipalities, and community stakeholders to facilitate approvals and goodwill.
• Provides leadership and oversight of the REL Government Relations team, including coaching and development.
• Collaborates with enterprise partners to align advocacy efforts and reduce duplication.
• Directs project communications, compliance tracking, and executive reporting on government relations activities.
