Job summary

Next Frontier Capital seeks an Executive Director of Institutional Sales for Public Institutions in Los Angeles. You will lead business development and relationship management across public pensions and retirement systems, driving asset growth and retention while advising clients in the Western Region.

You will report to the head of public funds and collaborate with DC, ETF, Consultant Relations, and other lines of business to position solutions and expand coverage.

Qualifications

• Existing relationships with public pension plans and consultants.
• Demonstrated success raising assets across both alternative and traditional strategies.
• Strong understanding of asset allocation and portfolio construction.
• Proven track record of developing internal and external partnerships with sales teams and individuals.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative approach.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of credibility with senior investors.
• Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Originate and close new business with public pension plans and retirement systems.
• Drive engagement and sales across alternative and traditional strategies.
• Build and deepen relationships with CIOs, investment staff, and field consultants.
• Act as primary point of contact for key public fund clients and prospects.
• Maintain and deliver public fund expertise, market insights, asset allocation knowledge, and articulate key strategies.
• Coordinate with internal partners including DC, ETF, Consultant Relations, and other lines of business.
• Partner with Investment Specialists and Portfolio Managers to position solutions effectively.
• Mentor junior sales professionals and contribute to team culture.
• Provide feedback to product strategy and leadership to develop new capabilities based on client needs.
• Collaborate across distribution, marketing, and investment teams.
