Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Executive Director to lead the architecture, engineering, and delivery of its strategic derivatives platform on the Athena (Python) framework. This role requires hands-on technical leadership, setting engineering standards and a multi-year roadmap across Fixed Income, Equity, and Multi-Asset strategies.

You will manage senior relationships, drive secure production code, and guide AI-enabled development practices across multiple engineering teams while upholding

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 10+ years of applied experience.
• Proven experience as a quant developer with traders or quants in front-office tech.

Responsibilities

• Manage senior relationships across Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, and Accounting with clear architecture decisions.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code from others.
• Architect and govern AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed and quality at scale.
• Leverage SDLC tools to enhance automation and reliability.
• Advise cross-functional teams on technical matters within domain of expertise.
• Serve as the go-to subject matter expert for the function.
• Contribute to developing technical methods in line with product development.
• Create durable, reusable software frameworks used across teams.
• Influence leaders across business, product, and technology teams.
