JPMorganChase in New York is seeking an Executive Director to lead architecture, engineering, and delivery of its strategic derivatives platform on the Athena (Python) framework. This hands-on leadership role requires deep platform design expertise and a multi-year roadmapping mindset.

You will manage senior relationships across Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, and Accounting, drive AI-enabled development practices, and build scalable software frameworks with security and resiliency at

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 10+ years of applied experience.
• Proven experience as a quant developer with close collaboration with quants, traders, or portfolio managers.
• Deep knowledge of derivatives trade lifecycle and asset classes.
• Strong Python skills with working knowledge of Java, C++, or C#.
• Experience with AI-enabled development practices and secure handling of data.

Responsibilities

• Manage senior relationships across Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations and Accounting.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code from others.
• Architect and govern AI-enabled engineering workflows and set guardrails for validation and security.
• Advise cross-functional teams on technical matters and serve as SME.
• Create reusable software frameworks used across teams.
